This is such a great document summarizing information we teach our customers. We are thankful for such great resources from our great Colorado State University Extension. We call summer the “testing ground of sprinkler coverage” and summer heat is coming soon. We get a lot of calls about “dead spots” or “brown spots” and this document can help you diagnose the most common reasons and keep your lawn green and lush all summer. Fertilization alone does not create green lawns in Colorado – uniform irrigation coverage and proper fertilization go hand in hand.

Brown Spots in lawns are most often caused by irrigation coverage. Here is a great resource from CSU Extension that summarizes info we share with our customers.
