In honor of National Coffee Day, I thought I would repost this about the gardening benefits of coffee grounds. We drink a lot of coffee which means we accumulate a lot of coffee grounds. A couple of years ago, I started saving our coffee grounds and dumping them in my flower beds. My flowers really started to take off!  Colorado soil is high in pH, meaning it is alkaline. A great way to neutralize or lower the pH is to add coffee grounds since they are acidic.

Here is a sign on our wall in our kitchen if that tells you anything. đŸ™‚ Give your flowers a boost this year by adding coffee grounds to your beds while helping the planet!
