Here in Northern Colorado, we are having a Mosquito Plague because of all the rain this spring. I don’t know about you, but our family hasn’t been enjoying the outdoors as much because of the pesky skeeters.  So I bought ingredients for making some homemade mosquito spray today, made it and tested it outside tonight. I gardened, walked through our grass in the backyard and was not bothered at all! I watched mosquitoes come towards me and then fly away. As far as I know, I don’t have any bites on me and before the application, I received several bites. It felt good to get some yard work done and not be miserable. This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Dollarphotoclub_80696320-1024x683.jpg

Recipe:

1/2 cup distilled water or boiled water

1/2 cup witch hazel

1/2 teaspoon Tea Tree Essential Oil

1/2 teaspoon Lemon Essential Oil

1/2 teaspoon Eucalyptus

5-10 drops Clove Essential Oil

I sprayed it on my clothing and body and put it on our girls. It smells good and we were excited to be outside after dinner without being eaten up! And I like that the spray isn’t full of chemicals.
