I saved a few pretty wine bottles over the last year to use as self-waterers for some of my flower pots. I have also used them for transplanted plants to help ease the stress of transplanting. You do have to get the angle just right or you can just plug the end with dirt. Once you get the hang of it, they are very convenient!
We have a west facing front entrance and these upcycled self-waterers have helped the flowers not have heat stress in the late afternoon sun. What have you upcycled in your yard or garden? Share in the comments below!
great idea! I always wanted to use the beautiful colored glass bottles for something! There is a few wines that come in blue glass, so i can have water & art at the same time! Thank you so much for sharing! ~amy
